Retinol serum – key active ingredients
✓ Microcapsuled retinol (vitamin A 233310 IU/g) – pure retinol in microcapsules, protected from light, temperature and pH. Well tolerated by the skin. Retinol is the most active form of vitamin A, which is the precursor of retinoic acid. It is responsible for the proliferation of the epidermis and dermis giving a powerful cellular renewal and restorative effect. Smoothes wrinkles and fine lines. Increases skin density, firmness and elasticity through collagen synthesis and promotes micro-circulation. Normalises excessive sebum secretion by regulating sebaceous glands, tightens pores. and reduces hyperpigmentation.
✓ Niacinamide – a form of vitamin B₃ with the characteristics of a powerful antioxidant – has an effective and broad rejuvenating effect. It is a precursor of the molecule of youth – NAD+ necessary for the production of cellular energy and proper mitochondrial function. Retinol = elixir of youth
Microencapsulated retinol (vitamin A 233310 IU/g) – a stable form of pure retinol with a very small molecule encapsulated in unique microcapsules. It has no irritant effects and is well tolerated by the skin. Pure retinol is only released from the microcapsules when directly applied to the skin by massaging and thus retains its properties. Aloe Vera Juice (Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice) – has strong anti-inflammatory and soothing effects. Promotes healing and soothes irritation, inflammation and micro-injuries to the skin. Stimulates the formation of new, healthy epidermis, but also relieves pain. Effectively moisturises, prevents flaking and improves dry skin. Has antiseptic and antibacterial effects, as well as anti-wrinkle and nourishing properties. It strengthens the skin’s defence mechanisms, promotes sun protection and has an antioxidant effect.
Melissa extract (Melisa officinalis) is effective in soothing irritation and relieving tired skin, protecting it from free radicals. It has regenerative, calming and refreshing properties and protects against the harmful effects of the sun’s rays.
How to use
Shake before use. Apply 2-4 drops to the palm of your hand and massage gently into cleansed skin on face, neck and décolleté. Avoid the eye area. Apply at night.
NOTE: IMMEDIATELY use a day cream with SPF50 sunscreen. Avoid exposure to the sun. Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
In case of skin redness, reduce frequency of application every 2-3 days use interchangeably with Boost-Serum with niacinamide and GABA before night cream. Gradually increase frequency to every 2-3 days until daily use. Do not use during pregnancy or lactation.
Contraindications to the use of retinol:
- exposure of skin to the sun – high sun exposure, sunbathing, tanorexia
- skin allergies, hypersensitivity to retinol
- pregnancy and breastfeeding
- active herpes
- susceptibility to scarring
- state after facial surgery (6 months)
- state after cryotherapy (6 months)
- damaged skin (e.g. after waxing, chemical or mechanical peeling)
- severe forms of acne that require prior drug therapy
- dural retinoid therapy – at least six months interval required
- autoimmune diseases, unstable metabolic and systemic diseases
