Niacinamide and GABA are the two most important active ingredients in PDT Boost-Serum. Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B₃ with the characteristics of a powerful antioxidant, which has a broad rejuvenating and strengthening effect on skin function and condition. GABA – gamma-aminobutyric acid is a neuroactive rejuvenating ingredient for immediate and long-lasting wrinkle reduction and collagen renewal, hydration and skin barrier. Among the active ingredients used are brightening Mela-Ginseng – Korean ginseng extract, Vitamin D Booster, Vecticell C – encapsulated vitamin C complex, vitamin E and allantoin. The active formula is complemented by valuable ingredients of marine origin such as marine collagen, marine elastin and marine glycogen. Moisturising and soothing effects are provided by hyaluronic acid, plant extracts of quinoa, lemon balm and aloe vera juice.

Preparation for PDT Laser LLLT, LED treatments with red light R 650nm and UV 420nm, as well as for THERMO treatments with a device that generates temperatures up to 42 deg C and for sonophoresis treatments.

Niacinamide is a form of vitamin B3 (an amide derivative) with the characteristics of a powerful antioxidant – it has an effective and widespread rejuvenating and strengthening effect on skin function and condition. It is a precursor of the molecule of youth – NAD+, which is essential for the production of cellular energy and proper mitochondrial function. NAD+ is also necessary for the activation of enzymes that repair DNA damage and for the activation of sirtuins with the ability to ‘turn off’ certain genes that promote ageing. It is not photosensitising and can be used all year round. It easily penetrates the epidermis and does not cause irritation. It regenerates the skin barrier by stimulating the differentiation of keratinocytes, reduces TEWL – transepidermal water loss through the epidermis, thus increasing skin hydration and elasticity, and smooths and softens the skin.

GABA acid – a neuroactive rejuvenating ingredient

GABA gamma-aminobutyric acid targets the immediate and long-lasting reduction of wrinkles and the renewal of collagen, hydration and the skin barrier. Thanks to its small molecule, it has the ability to act quickly at the epidermal level as well as in the dermis.

GABA relaxes facial wrinkles and crow’s feet by interacting with GABA A receptors, external nerve cells and smooth muscle cells. As a result, skin cells shrink less and are more relaxed, fine lines and wrinkles become less visible and the skin quickly begins to look younger. The first effects of wrinkle reduction, according to studies, are visible in as little as 10 to 30 minutes.

It rebuilds the skin’s protective barrier, stimulates keratinisation and cell renewal, as well as the production of involucrin and glutathione, thereby reducing skin roughness, smoothing the skin and plumping out fine lines and wrinkles.
